Tickets are five for $10, 50 for $20, 150 for $50, or 400 for $75.
OXFORD - Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Oxford County is introducing a new fundraiser called The BIG Give and Win.
It's a monthly online 50/50 draw where the tickets are five for $10, 50 for $20, 150 for $50, or 400 for $75. In true 50/50 fashion, half of the jackpot will go to the winner and the other half will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters to support youth mentorship programs in our community.
The programs are offered free of cost, but Executive Director Kristen Ralph says that doesn't mean they're free to deliver.
"Behind every mentoring match and group are professional staff that carry out screening, provide training, and guide volunteers through the entire process to ensure every mentor and mentee are safe and supported. This is why fundraising is crucial for BBBS Oxford and a 50/50 raffle is a run, simple way for the community to help make mentoring possible, with the potential for you to win big."
Tickets are available online here before the first draw closes on May 14th. The first winner will be announced on May 15th and that's when the ticket sales for the next draw will also begin. You also have to be over the age of 18 to participate.
Erica Hughes, the Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator with BBBS Oxford, stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday, April 15th. You can listen to the full interview below:
