Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock and District will have a case worker in Otterville once a month to help serve the community.
OTTERVILLE - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock and District has opened a new satellite office in Norwich Township.
Executive Director Kristen Ralph explains why they wanted to branch out into Norwich Township.
"We have noticed an increase in the request for services in the Norwich area, so it just makes sense that we make ourselves more accessible in the Rural areas that we serve."
They will have a case worker Amber McMurchy at the office in Otterville during the second Tuesday of every month. You can also make an appointment and they will increase the amount of time they are in Otterville if their is a demand for it. Ralph says
"Most people know that there is always a transportation issue, so it's nice to be able to have a presence in a community and be able to offer services on a regular basis. So they have Amber our case worker who they can meet face to face and she will be available the second Tuesday of every month or by appointment if that date doesn't work for any family."
The office space was donated by Girard Engineering in Otterville.
