Karis Disability Services will be hosting a fundraiser in Woodstock this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - A local organization is looking to raise funds.
Karis Disabilities will be hosting the Belongathon on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Family Church. Executive Director for the South Region, Dave Petkau explains the event.
"So, the Belongathon is a fundraiser and a community awareness event for Karis Disability Services. Some in the community might remember us from our former name Christian Horizons, and our goal is to just draw Wellness through the need for people with developmental disabilities to be part of their community."
Petkau says the community is not complete until everybody is included. He mentions how you can join in.
"So, two different options. I tell people one is karis.org. So that's our main website. They can find us under events there. And the other one is belongathon.ca."
Petkau says you can still enter a team if you would like, or if you are on the website, you are able to find more information or make a donation. You can visit the Karis Disability Services website here, or the events website here.
