Over 700 birthday cards have already been delivered to 13 year Ethan Shelly of Delhi who is currently battling cancer. Still time to send one before his birthday on May 13.
DELHI - Birthday cards continue to pour in from around the world for a 13 year old boy from Delhi recently diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma leukaemia is getting set to turn in a couple of weeks.
Ethan Shelly is currently in remission and is going through extensive chemotherapy right now. Heart FM first shared the story last month and Ethan has already received around 700 cards, including one from Heart FM.
They are starting to open a new card every day. His birthday is on May 13th and you can still send him a card to brighten up his day.
Ethan can't attend school right now because he is immunocompromised and can't see any of his friends. His nana Bridgette Homenuik says he was diagnosed last year and hasn't been able to play his favourite sport hockey ever since.
"He was in the ICU for the first 3 weeks, his blood count was really bad, since then his journey to the hospital has been aggressive treatment. His treatment plan is for 2 years, so far he's being doing a good job of tolerating it, he has good days and bad days. He was a good hockey player since he was little and that came to a halt last year. He's not able to attend school either, he is in remission, meaning no new cells. He has a long treatment ahead of him, he's not half way through yet."
You can send the cards directly to Ethan at:
