Mark Peterson is looking to serve another term as the Mayor of Blandford-Blenheim Township.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - The Mayor of Blandford-Blenheim Township will be running for re-election this fall.
Mark Peterson is just wrapping up his first term as Mayor and he served as a Township Councillor for two terms before that.
"I'm a firm believer in that if you are not happy with how things are going on in your area, township or city or whatever you're involved in, then do something about it! Instead of complaining about it, do something about it. I've always been that kind of person."
Peterson says a lot has happened over the past four years. The biggest highlight for him would be the donation of land in Plattsville, so a 30-unit seniors complex could be built.
If he's re-elected for another term, Peterson would like to help expand commercial and industrial growth in order to create new jobs.
