Christmas came a little early for Brant County with a $25,000 donation from the Cowan Foundation to help with the Bawcutt Centre.
BRANT - The giving season is in full swing and the Cowan Foundation was too as they donated $25,000 to Brant County.
The donation was given on Wednesday, December 19th and was made in honour of Bob Cowan. Cowan was a member of the foundation's board and was key to helping the foundation take off. Terry Reidel, Executive Director of the Cowan Foundation had this to say.
"On behalf of The Cowan Foundation and its Board of Directors, we are happy to support the selection made by Bob Cowan’s family“ The vision of the Centre and the impact it will have in Paris is one that we know Bob Cowan, one of our past Foundation Directors, would have fully supported. Bob was a huge proponent of business, innovation and collaboration and tying all these elements into the Paris Old Town Hall, with its heritage and charm, is certainly a project the community can get excited about."
The donations will go toward helping preserve the oldest Gothic building in Canada, the Bawcutt Centre.
