People can enjoy breakfast with the Mayor of Woodstock and hear their questions answered.
WOODSTOCK - Mayor Trevor Birtch will be available to answer your questions tomorrow morning.
The community is welcome to attend Breakfast With The Mayor.
Mayor Birtch says they'll be discussing a few topics on the agenda.
"We'll be talking about some of the growth that Woodstock has been receiving recently. Some of the new industry that's coming to town, as well as some of the opportunities that we're looking at right now for increased intensity in residential development. We have quite a few new apartment building blocks that are being planned. We will also be discussing the downtown revitalization plan that is about to be underway and there's going to be opportunities for both Chamber members, the general public as well as BIA members to comment on that to help shape that future direction that we'll have for our downtown."
The event will be happening at the the Quality Inn in Woodstock.
Mayor Birtch is entering into his fifth year of being a part of the annual breakfast.
He says he enjoys hearing feedback from the community.
"It's a really good opportunity to get to be in their element and talk their language about what's important to them, and so many of these chamber members really are the ambassadors for the Friendly City. The contacts that they have in the business world that reaches far beyond our borders here and they attract new business and new commerce to the area."
Mayor Birtch says the breakfast is a fundraising opportunity for the commerce too. Ticket prices are $25.00 and all proceeds will go back towards the Woodstock District Chamber of Commerce.
He adds the public will be served a breakfast buffet, complete with danishes, bacon and eggs.
The event goes from 7:30am to 9:00 a.m.
