Bridge repairs at Gobles and Blenheim are causing some issues in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Bridge repairs are causing traffic nightmares in Blandford Blenheim Township.
CN recently released the following statement regarding the work being done at Gobles Bridge and Blenheim Bridge.
"CN is aware of the inconvenience that the use limitations and closure of Gobles and Blenheim bridges respectively, are having on the community in Blandford Blenheim. CN has identified issues of concern with the load carrying capacity which affects the normal operation of their use.
Safety is a core value at CN. We are actively working on replacement options for the bridges without compromising that commitment to safety. CN plans to complete the replacement of Blenheim Bridge in 2022. With respect to Gobles, CN is working with the construction contractor to rectify the situation as expediently and safely as possible.
CN remains in contact with the Township about both of these bridges, as we proceed with their replacement. Should any members of the public wish to reach out to CN directly they may do so by contacting CN’s Public Inquiry Line at 1-888-888-5909 or at contact@cn.ca."
