We have confirmed that the Bridges at Tillsonburg golf course is taking tee times for Saturday, even though the Ford Government ordered all golf courses to close last week.
UPDATE: Oxford OPP are aware the course plans to open this weekend. In an email to Heart FM Constable Patti Cote stated the following.
"The OPP is doing its part to support the Government Of Ontario’s health emergency declaration to limit transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and expects the public including business owners to follow the legislation and the direction of public health officials."

We have flipped the cup so the ball will go in the hole but will remain partially above the ground for golfers to pick out - Walking is recommended and encouraged - Please play holes in order and maintain a safe gap between groups - One group (up to 4 players) allowed to use the practice area. max 10 mins before your tee time. If you are early please wait in your car or away from others to allow them to warm up."
The Ford Government ordered all golf courses to close last week during the third lockdown. This has angered people across the province, as they were able to go golfing during the first and second lockdowns. Ontario is also the only jurisdiction in North America where golf courses are closed right now.
Anyone looking to book a tee time today might be out of luck. The course is completely booked for Saturday. No word if they will be opening up more dates at this time.
We have reached out to the golf course for further comment and we will update this story as more information becomes available.
