British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will remain PM until a successor is chosen.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has resigned.
The news follows a mass revolt by top members of his government.
Johnson took Britain out of the European Union and steered in through the pandemic and the war in Ukraine was brought down after appointing a politician who had been accused of sexual misconduct.
Johnson says he will step down immediately as leader of the Conservative Party, but he would remain Prime Minister until a successor is chosen.
Further details will be announced next week, however, many in his party want him gone before that point.
