Bulk item collection will see some changes it when it comes to when and how items are collected.
WOODSTOCK - Changes to bulk item collection in Woodstock are coming.
Woodstock City Council approved a recommendation from the city's Engineer to modify the pick up of bulk items.
City Engineer Harold de haan explains what residents can expect, "reducing the curb side bulk item collection cycle by one cycle and replacing that one cycle by creating an additional drop-off day."
de haan points out that the existing days are scheduled a year in advance and don't take into account the weather circumstances.
There is also the issue of other services that are running in conjunction with the bulk item collection.
"In the fall we have conflicts with the pick-up cycle conflicting with leaf pick-up, where we need the man power to do the leafs."
