The 104th Calithumpian celebration will takeover Thamesford this long weekend and there will be lots of fun events for the whole family to enjoy.
THAMESFORD - Calithumpian Weekend is returning to Thamesford for its 104th weekend of fun and community engagement.
The four-day event will host a variety of activities like live music, fireworks, a beer tent, and a community parade. There will also be a variety of family events including a shopping market, a kid's dance, and a beach volleyball tournament.
Past President Rebecca Sparks says the weekend will finish with a spectacular firework show on Sunday evening, and the Calithumpian Community Parade on Monday afternoon.
This year’s theme is superheroes, and participants are encouraged to dress the part. The party starts today, kicking off with the Children's Hospital BBQ at 11:00 a.m.
