Canada Opens Land Border to Fully Vaccinated Americans

Fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents can now cross the land border into Canada, but the United States is still maintaining it's restrictions for non-essential Canadian travellers.

CANADA/UNITED STATES - Canada has officially opened it's land border crossings to fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents.

Each traveller from the United States must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test that's less than 72-hours old and also prove that they received their second dose of a Health Canada approved vaccine at least two weeks ago. They will be able to upload their vaccination details to the ArriveCAN app or the online web portal.

The Canada Border Services Agency is also warning American travellers expect longer delays at the border than usual.

The United States is still maintaining it's restrictions for non-essential Canadian travellers at it's land border crossings.
