It was a bizarre scene at a rail crossing in Ingersoll Wednesday night. According to Oxford OPP, just before 10PM a train was travelling eastbound at the Thames Street South crossing. The lights and audible alarms were activated and a line of cars were waiting to cross as the train passed through. As the train was proceeding, the car at the front of the line started to move forward and drove into the side of the train. The vehicle was dragged for roughly eight feet before becoming dislodged. The driver, 57 years-old Shuresh Ganesh was not injured and there was no damage to the train. Ganesh was charged with disobeying a railway crossing signal.
