Parents will receive feedback on car seat installation in their vehicles on July 6th 5-7pm
TILLSONBURG - Parents with young children will get a chance to have their car seats checked over by an expert in Tillsonburg.
Oxford County is hosting a car seat clinic at the Tillsonburg Fire Hall on Monday July 6th from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Public Health Nurse Lorna Boratto tells Heart FM when they have done these clinics in the past they find a lot of car seats are not installed properly. "It may be a fairly small error where we just need to tighten it up a bit more, sometimes it is a bit more involved, maybe the seat belt hasn't been done properly or the special universal attachment hasn't been installed correctly, it can be a myriad of issues."
Boratto says you also have to keep in mind car seats do have expiration dates and don't last forever. Experts will be on hand at the car seat clinic to go over any questions or concerns and to make sure your car seat is installed properly.
