Over 2,000 people will enjoy a free Family Day celebration at the Tillsonburg Community Centre tomorrow.
TILLSONBURG - The Tillsonburg Community Centre is going to be a packed place this Family Day.
The fun will get started 8am tomorrow with breakfast; it's going to cost $2 a person.
The free ice skating, swimming, carnival, toddler room and entertainment will begin shortly afterwards, and last until about 4:30pm.
If you're planning on taking a dip in the pool Planning Committee Member Brent Sheppard recommends reserving your spot ahead of time.
"There's three swim times; 8:30am to 10:30am, 11:30am to 1pm or 3pm to 4:30pm and if you're there within the first 15 minutes you can bypass the line."
You can book your reservation online here before 4pm today.
Those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet Becky Kellar-Duke, a women's hockey player who helped team Canada win Olympic gold medals in 2002, 2006 and 2010. She will be hanging around the ice area between 10:30am and 1pm.
Over 2,000 people should be attending tomorrow's festivities. Sheppard says they always try their best to make it an affordable event for all families.
"All the activities are absolutely free. We know if people are coming from out of town sometimes they might want to get some affordable food. We do have a pizza lunch that is $2 a slice or $12 for a full pizza, but that's just a provisional thing for people who want to be there for the whole day."
