WOODSTOCK - Local businesses will have a spotlight shined on them at the Woodstock Chamber Awards of Excellence .
It is the 22nd time the event is being put on, which goes inside the Oxford Auditorium this Wednesday night.
General Manager Kim Whitehead says the audience will participate in live voting.
"The businesses certainly earn a great amount of recognition being recognized by your peers in the community as being one of the best in your category, so it's a great kudos to each business that's nominated and the eventual winner."
The annual event will recognize several businesses, honouring them across eight different categories. Whitehead adds three of those nominees will see video presentations.
She says among the multiple honours includes the President's Award.
"We have categories like 'Young Entrepreneur/ Professional of the Year,' 'Energy Conservation and Innovation Award,' 'Outstanding Achievement Manufacturing Award,' 'Outstanding Commercial/ Retail Award' and so on."
There is a limited amount of seats available. Tickets cost $95.00 and they can be purchased online.
The doors open at 6:00 pm and dinner is served at 7:00 pm, before the awards ceremony gets underway at 8:15 pm.
