A familiar face will run for the Oxford NDP once again in the upcoming Federal Election.
INGERSOLL - Matthew Chambers will look to unseat incumbent Conservative MP Dave MacKenzie on September 20th. Chambers has been a vocal critic of MacKenzie over the past couple of years. He really went after MacKenzie earlier this year for his stance on conversion therapy. You can read more about that online here.
Chambers has previously with the Oxford NDP during the Provincial election and has held multiple positions on the Oxford NDP Executive Board, including President. He has lived his whole life in the County and currently lives in Ingersoll.
Chambers first ran for the party in 2019, becoming the youngest person to ever challenge for a Federal seat in Oxford County.
Heart FM will be speaking with Chambers today and will have a feature story with him and all of the local candidates this week.
