"The care he receives and still receives, the amount of love he gets there. It makes us want to be part of a group to give back, so it's our way to give back to them." - Darrel Markus
INGERSOLL - An Ingersoll family is hosting a fundraiser for the London Children's Health Foundation.
Event organizer and Father Darrel Markus says the cause is close to their family, since they spent a lot of time there after the birth of his son.
"The care he receives and still receives, the amount of love he gets there. It makes us want to be part of a group to give back, so it's our way to give back to them."
The Children's Health Foundation Summer Fun Event is taking place tomorrow at Victoria Park in Ingersoll, and will feature events like a Baseball tournament, vendor sales, food trucks, games and family entertainment.
The fun kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. Proceeds raised at the event go back to support the Children's Health Foundation of London
