Conservative Motion to Move McClintic Back to Prison Defeated

A Conservative Motion that would have put Terri Lynne McClintic back behind bars has been defeated in the House of Commons.

WOODSTOCK - A Conservative Motion that would have put Terri Lynne McClintic back behind bars has been defeated in the House of Commons.

The motion lost with a vote of 82-200 with the NDP and Liberals voting against it. The motion would have had the government condemn an overturn the decision to transfer child killer Terri-Lynne McClintic to an Indigenous Healing Lodge.

In a tweet opposition leader Andrew Scheer says "Justin Trudeau has failed Tori Stafford, her family, and Canadians by refusing to put Tori Stafford’s killer back behind bars. This is absolutely disgusting and Conservatives will continue to fight to put this murderer back behind bars where she belongs."

McClintic is serving a life sentence and is not eligible for parole until 2031.
