Harold Couwenberg is set for sentencing May 15th. The former treasurer of the Burgessville Firefighters Association has been found guilty of stealing money from the organization. Couwenburg has been found guilty of theft over $5000, however, the Crown agreed to drop all other charges. He's been released from custody now with a date to appear next month to receive his sentence. It has not been disclosed how much money he stole from the volunteer firefighters association.
