A woman from Oxford County was charged with impaired driving after slamming into the back of a GMC pickup truck.
BLANDFORD BLEINHAM - A woman from Blandford Bleinham Township has been charged with impaired driving after a crash in Brant County.
OPP say the woman slammed into the back of a GMC pickup truck who was stopped at the temporary traffic lights due to bridge repair on Highway 24 north of Oakland Road. The crash happened on Saturday night. OPP and EMS attended the scene, however nobody was injured. Police say they arrested the 29 year old woman after an investigation after the crash. She was charged with fail or refuse to provide a breath sample and driving with the ability impaired by alcohol.
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to her charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
