Later this month, crews will be coming around houses once a week to pick-up. The Town says residents can do a number of things to help crews with the pick-up, including raking the leaves onto the boulevard or edge of the lawn and not onto the street.
INGERSOLL - Starting in mid-October, curbside leaf pick up will begin in Ingersoll.
The Town says during this time crews will be going by houses once a week to pick up. Based on the weather, curbside leaf pick-up will run until the middle of November.
The Town says residents can do the following things to help crews with the pick-up:
- Ensure the leaves are raked out by no later than 7:00 am on Mondays.
- Leaves will only be collected once a week.
- Don't leave brushes, bedding plants, weeds, rocks, concrete or loose dirt piles.
- Don't cover storm grates.
- Don't rake the leaves onto the street, but onto the boulevard or edge of the lawn instead.
- If any leaves remain after being collected, they must be raked close to the curb to help staff with the next collection. This is due to COVID-19 restrictions.
You can also take your leaves, brush and yard waste to the Brush & Yard Waste depot beside the Public Works Yard on 80 Pemberton Street.
