Daily case numbers spiked to 660 this morning with 1 new death. The amount of people in the hospital dropped to 283.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 660 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 561,297. Health Minister Christine Elliott states that 525 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 135 are in fully vaccinated individuals.
One new COVID-19 related death was confirmed this morning, meaning the total number of deaths now sits at 9,472. Another 572 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 546,685.
The province completed 26,406 tests yesterday. We currently have 283 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 130 people in the ICU and 73 in the ICU on a ventilator. Of the people hospitalized, 253 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 30 are fully vaccinated.
