Ontario is reporting 486 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 295 people in the hospital. For those hospitalized, 268 are not fully vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 486 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 560,637. Health Minister Christine Elliott states that 372 cases are in people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 114 are in fully vaccinated individuals.
Due to a data clean-up, 16 of the 18 deaths being reported today occurred more than two months ago, meaning the total number of deaths now sits at 9,471. Another 541 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 546,113.
The province completed 17,369 tests yesterday. We currently have 295 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 125 people in the ICU and 69 in the ICU on a ventilator. Of the people hospitalized, 268 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 27 are fully vaccinated.
