Public Health seek proof of vaccination for Ingersoll-area dog following biting on Thursday.
INGERSOLL -- Oxford County Public Health would like to speak with a dog owner in Ingersoll following an incident this week.
A person was bit by the dog around 4:45 pm Thursday afternoon in the Thames Street North area. They say the dog was a large, mixed breed with German Shepherd colouring and markings and long hair. The dog was being walked on a leash by a woman in her mid to late thirties.
The dog owner stopped but did not provide contact information.
Public Health is asking the dog owner or anyone with information to contact them as they require proof of vaccination for the dog, to avoid a series of rabies vaccination for the individual who was bit. All information can be called in to Mike Pape at 519-539-9800 extension 3454.
