BRANT COUNTY - The entire Board of Directors of the Brant Family and Children's Services have resigned in a stunning and unprecedented move.
The story as reported in the Brantford Expositor states they are resigning because Provincial officials have failed to address the deficit that the Board says was created by the Government. The Board had warned the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services that they will resign if they didn't get sufficient assurance that the funding problems would be addressed.
The board voted unanimously to tender their resignations on Friday. The Board will now be run by the Government.
