This will be provided everywhere in the county except for Tillsonburg
OXFORD COUNTY - Water and wastewater billing in Oxford County will be done by ERTH Corporation, except for in Tillonsburg where the bills will continue to come from the town.
The County had to put out an RFP after the sale of Woodstock Hydro to Hydro One. Warden David Mayberry tells Heart one positive from the new contract is they are hoping to have electronic billing available soon which could lead to potential savings albeit small ones.
"The idea that in the near future we will go to electronic billing and if people want it electronically then ERTH can provide that at a lower rate, that is the next step and we are hoping we will be able to provide that in the next few months."
County staff are confident that the new billing and meter reading service will be ready to go in January 2016.
