Environment Canada says it could feel close to minus 30 tonight with the wind chill.
OXFORD COUNTY - It's about to get even colder here in Oxford County.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning with wind chill values close to minus 30 in the forecast for tonight going into tomorrow morning.
It's advising everyone to bundle up if they have to go outdoors, adding frostbite can only take a few minutes to develop when it's this cold outside.
Seniors and young kids face an increased risk, and the same goes for people with chronic illnesses, who work outside, or don't have a proper shelter. Pet owners should limit the amount of time they let their pets out when it's this cold outside.
You should also make sure your vehicle's emergency kit is stocked with jumper cables and some blankets, just in case you get stranded somewhere.
