WATERLOO REGION - The Waterloo District Catholic School Board is mandating that all students wear face masks when kids return to school in two weeks.
The board trustees voted to make it mandatory for students in kindergarten to grade 3 to wear masks for in class learning. This follows a similar move from the Waterloo Region District School Board and Upper Grand District School Board, who announced that decision last week.
Students from grades 4 and up are already mandated to wear masks by the Province. Families will responsible for making sure the students have masks and the school board will have a few extra on hand.
As of right now face masks are not mandatory for Kindergarten to grade 3 students in both the Thames Valley District School Board and the London and District Catholic School Board.
