St. James Anglican Church would like to convert its second story into affordable housing units.
INGERSOLL - A local church is looking for a developer.
St. James Anglican Church in Ingersoll has been working with Relèven Realty Brokerage Foundation to find the perfect partner to turn the second story of the building into affordable housing units. Warden of the Church, Veronica Jackson says what you should do if you are interested.
"They should send us an e-mail to the church e-mail address, which is on our website. And then from there, as soon as we receive that e-mail, then we forward it to Corey de Villier at Releven, and then he's involved with the next steps."
Jackson adds that with the growth of the town, and people struggling to find housing, this would be a benefit for everyone.
"How could this property be invested in that would be a great outcome not just for our church but for the town."
The space is close to 5,000 square feet and Jackson says it could see six to 10 units built, which would then be rented or sold.
You can find more information about the space online here.
