You might be able to spot a couple Fanshawe students when you go to the Woodstock Farmers Market.
WOODSTOCK - Fanshawe College has launched their Fanshawe Farm Market project.
It's collaboration between local farmers and Fanshawe students and faculty involved in the Business - Entrepreneurship and Management Diploma Program in Woodstock.
Students introduce new products from farms and other food related businesses at the Woodstock Farmers Market.
It's also their job to collect feedback from the customers they talk to.
This initiative would not be possible without financial help from Community Futures Oxford, the Future Oxford Legacy Fund and Community Employment Services.
The first Fanshawe Farm Market was held on Saturday July 14th. Lisa Wells, Manager of Continuing Education and Contract Training says there will be taking place throughout the summer.
"Our hope is to pilot this project at the Woodstock Farmers Market and look to future sustainable growth with multiple locations across Oxford County. We look forward to introducing these local products at the markets and supporting our students as they further grow the skills developed in class through experiential learning."
The Woodstock Farmers Market takes place every Saturday at the Woodstock Fairgrounds. Things get underway at 7 a.m. and wrap up at 12 p.m.
