UPDATE: Police Identify Windham Crash Victims

Police say the crash at the corner of Highway 24 and Concession 7 of Townsend killed a 90-year-old man and an 80-year-old woman.

UPDATE 2: The Norfolk OPP has released the names of the two people who died in a recent crash in Windham.

Police say 90-year-old Karl Tabe and 80-year-old Kathleen Tabe both passed away on Thursday. They're both from Norfolk County.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

UPDATE: In a video posted on the OPP West Region Twitter page, Constable Ed Sanchuk confirmed that the vehicle passenger died after being airlifted to a Hamilton hospital.

WINDHAM - There's been a fatal collision on Highway 24 in Windham.

At around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday November 10th, Norfolk County emergency services responded to the scene and determined that an SUV and a motor vehicle collided at the intersection of Highway 24 and Concession 7 of Townsend. 

As a result, a child and two adults from the SUV were transported to the hospital for serious non-life-threatening injuries. 

In the other vehicle, a passenger was transported to a nearby hospital and then airlifted to a Hamilton hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The driver suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Highway 24 will be closed between Windham Road 6 and Windham Road 7 for the next six hours to allow for investigation.
