One man is dead and another taken to the hospital after a fatal crash on Highway 8 just East of Stratford.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 44 year old David Torbet of Stratford.
TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST - Perth County OPP responded to a fatal crash involving two vehicles on Highway 8, east of Stratford this morning.
Police attended the scene along with the Stratford Fire Department and the Perth County Paramedic Service. The driver of the sedan, a 44 year old man, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 68 year old pickup truck driver was also transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are waiting on contact from the deceased's next of kin for identification.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated by OPP's Technical Collision Investigators, and the roadway will remain closed until further notice.
