OPP and the Woodstock Police are reminding everyone that RIDE spot checks can happen anytime, anywhere, day or night.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP were doing RIDE spot checks yesterday afternoon.
Constable Patti Cote says they will be doing several more during the Festive season.
"And you will see officers out and about during all hours of the day and night conducting spot checks."
Cote says they want everyone to plan ahead this holiday season and if you drink, don't drive.
"We want everybody to enjoy themselves this holiday season, so please do us a favour and make a plan, whether that be stay over night, call a cab, make arrangements for a friend or family member to pick you up because we want everybody to get home safe, so please drive sober."
Police will also be watching out for anyone who is driving impaired by drugs. Already during the Festive season, Oxford OPP have charged several people with impaired driving.
