WOODSTOCK - Members of the Cowan Foundation Board attended the latest Woodstock City Council meeting, to present the third and final cheque for the sponsorship of Cowan Fields.
Executive Director Terry Reidel enjoys supporting different causes in the community. The cheque was for $75,000.
"What we try to do is to make sure that the community has the facilities where they have needs, in terms of mental health issues or hospital issues. We just like to help."
The organization has also helped different facilities in the community over the years.
Nancy Maxwell is the Regional Branch Manager of the Paris, Stratford and London branches and she says the community uses their facilities to stay active.
"Well I know we've got a lot of clients that take advantage of the Cowan Park and the Cowan Field and their kids, their grandkids, so there's a lot community participation with it that's for sure."
She says a lot of their employees live in Woodstock and it's important to support them and the community.
