Woodstock Police are guarding the scene of an abandoned house fire this morning. Smoke and some flames could be seen coming from the house on Devonshire and Lansdowne last night. The house has been abandoned for some time, after a planned Rexall Development was denied for the parcel. Since that time, the home has sat vacant, left for ruin. The fire damage was minimal. There's no word yet on a cause.
