The Niagara Jr C west division finals are tied at one game apiece. New Hamburg evened the series against the Merchants in Norwich Wednesday night. The Merchants took an early lead scoring twice in in the first ten minutes of the game before the Firebirds answered back with forty seconds left in the first period. Norwich took there one goal lead into the third period after a scoreless second. But the Firebirds came storming back with two unanswered goals in the third to edge the Merchants 3-2. The series shifts back to New Hamburg Friday night for game three. Game time is 7:30 pm.
