TILLSONBURG - Police were called in Tillsonburg after a five year old girl was found wandering the streets on Lisgar Avenue.
The girl was almost hit by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, just after 12. A good Samaritan stepped in and called police. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the child. They realized she had walked six minutes away from her home. Police then took her home and spoke with both parents. CAS has been contacted.
"The Oxford County OPP would like to thank the Good Samaritan that approached this young girl and immediately contacted police. As a result of their quick thinking actions, she was returned home safely to her family." - Inspector Tony Hymers, Detachment Commander, Oxford County OPP.
