UPDATE: Police say the deceased has been identified as eight-year-old Nihal Toor from London. One Strathroy woman has been charged as well after police learned she was impaired while driving.
Police say there were four people from one vehicle and they were taken to hospital by EMS. Three of them suffered minor injuries.
Police have charged 33-year-old Alicia Van Bree of Strathroy with the following offences:
- CC 320.14(1)(b) Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
- CC 320.14(3) Operation causing death.
She was released from custody and scheduled to appear in a London courtroom on September 10th.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY - Four people are in hospital following a serious two vehicle collision in Middlesex County.
Along with the Fire and Middlesex-London EMS, OPP arrived at the intersection of Egremont Drive and Hickory Drive in the city of Adelaide Metcalfe last night.
Police say four people were transported to hospital and one of them has life-threatening injuries. Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team are assisting with the investigation.
The intersection is expected to be closed for the next eight hours as the investigation continues.
