There's a limited quantity available and those who are interested should call 519-485-0120 with extension 6223.
INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll is handing out free maple trees to its residents.
According to a post on its Facebook page, quantities are limited and this is ideally for someone who recently had a tree removed or someone who moved to a new development in town.
The drop off date has yet to be determined. But once the tree arrives town officials would like it planted in the front yard but away from overhead wires and not over any gas, sewer or water lines. It's also recommended that you reach out to to One Call at 1-800-400-2255 before digging.
Those who are interested in getting a free maple tree can reach out to Lenore Capern by calling 519-485-0120 with extension 6223. You can also send her an e-mail at lcapern@ingersoll.ca.
