Woodstock's Badminton Club has slashed its membership rates, and has spruced up the facility in an effort to boost membership. This week is the official kick-off to the badminton season, and the club is offering a "free play" week. There's no court fees for anyone looking to play during open play times. Membership Director Brent Peltola tells Heart FM "We've put a concerted effort into making some renovations at the club, making some changes to the way we operate. We're hoping to get people out and see what the future looks like at the Woodstock Badminton Club and build our membership." Among the improvements at the club: an updated kitchen and free wi-fi. Woodstock is known to have one of the best badminton courts in all of Ontario. Visit www.woodstockbadmintonclub.org for more details.
