The Westbound lanes of the 401 in Middlesex County at the 402 split are closed today because of a fuel spill.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY - The Westbound lanes of the 401 in Middlesex County at the 402 split are closed today.
The lanes were closed at 2:30 this afternoon because of a transport truck leaking fuel onto the highway.
Currently, the 401 westbound lanes are closed to facilitate cleanup of the fuel spill. The fuel spill has since stopped. The transport truck was a fuel hauler. The trailer experienced the leak. The Minister of the Environment has also been engaged regarding the incident.
The motoring public will be diverted at the 402 split going westbound and can follow the Emergency Detour Routes.
