The Provincial Government is rolling out funding through the Rural Economic Development program. Tillsonburg will see some of that funding between the Town and the Downtown BIA.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg along with Downtown Tillsonburg BIA will be getting funding.
The Ontario Government will be giving up to $292,380 through the Rural Economic Development program.
The Town of Tillsonburg will receive up to $140,000 toward economic development and job creation at the Tillsonburg Airport.
As for the Downtown Tillsonburg BIA, they will get up to $152,380 toward streetscape, lighting, and renewal of street assets.
In a release to the Heart FM Newsroom, Oxford MPP, Ernie Hardeman says, "This funding is a welcome investment in the economic development of Oxford."
The province is investing over $4.3 million in cost-share funding through the 2023 intake, which will support up to 80 projects across the province.
