George Way has been the Ward 4 Councillor for South-West Oxford for two terms now, and he's looking to add another under his belt.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A councillor for the township of South-West Oxford is running for re-election.
Ward 4 Councillor George Way would like to continue serving the community.
He says there is a project in Beachville that he would like to see through.
"We're building a new fire hall in Beachville this year. Construction started in February this year, hopes to be completed in December of 2018. So the current council is trying to hash out how long to debaucher it."
Way explains one challenge the council will be facing that he would like to help with.
"Well I think the biggest challenge is to keep our budget as the cost of living increases every year, which is a very hard thing to do. We've had some significant tax increases since I've been on council and part of that is due to the decrease in funding from the Provincial government."
He has served South-West Oxford for two terms so far and would like to add another under his belt.
