The County of Brant will be offering lots of great WinterActive programs throughout the month.
BRANT COUNTY - Brant County's Parks and Rec Department is encouraging everyone to get out there and be active.
WinterActive will take place throughout the entire month, in order to encourage residents to beat the winter blues with a variety of activities at little or no cost.
Recreation Supervisor Stacey Ellins says they have a variety of fun events planned.
"Come out and enjoy a full roster of activities. We have something for everyone including badminton, building a snowman, volleyball, dancing, skating, yoga and Kinderplay."
They will offer a cardio program for seniors in Paris on February 12th, Kinderplay at the Scotland Community Centre on February 13th and a drop in playtime for kids in Burford on Valentine's Day. There's also after school playtime at the Scotland Community Centre on February 15th, a Range of Motion program in Burford on February 16th and a public skate in Burford on February 18th.
Ellins says participants could win big at the end of the month.
"Each time you attend a WinterActive activity, you will receive a stamp on your calendar. Take your stamped calendar to the Rec Expo and receive a ballot for each stamp. The ballots will enter you into a draw for a grand prize. I can't give away the surprise, but the grand prize is pretty awesome!"
The Rec Expo will take place at the Brant Sports Complex on February 24th, beginning at 9am and ending at 12pm.
