About 45 employees will be going to work at the GM CAMI plant in Ingersoll next week to start preparations for everyone coming back to work.
INGERSOLL - About 45 trade workers at the GM Cami plant in the Town of Ingersoll will be heading back to work next week.
The company is getting ready to slowly ramp up production again. Next week the 45 employees will be coming to the plant to help with preparations.
Starting on May 18th the plant will be working with a skeleton crew in paint, weld, materials in weld and stamping.
Starting on May 25th they will have a full production shift for everyone across the plant on the A shift.
Starting on June 1st, C shift and A shift will be rotating 2 shifts until the summer shutdown.
Everyone coming back to work will have to undergo work orientation and safety training.
More details will be released next week and start times may vary, however everyone will be getting an 8 hour shift. CAMI makes the Chevrolet Equinox for General Motors. They employ roughly 2,500 people who have been out of work since March.
