Oxford Attack Bantam Under 13 win gold in Stratford
STRATFORD: The Oxford Attack Under 13 Bantam Girls swept five games en route to a gold medal finish at an OBA sanctioned tournament in Stratford over the weekend.
The Attack girls defeated Sarnia Valhalla 38-15, host Stratford Revolution 36-7, Wallaceburg 34-12, Toronto Crazy Cats 40-20 and Stratford again in the gold medal game 39-10.
The Attack girls continue to play exceptional team defence against their opposition. Their full court press and half court man to man and various zone defences continue to give their opponents fits. On offence; the girls use their fast break and motion style offence effectively to score but can also successfully play against opponents’ zone defences.
The Attack U13 girls possess a 17-3 record just past the season’s midway point.
Up next for the Attack girls is a tournament in Grimsby in early March.
