The dance floor was rocking, the food was excellent and this years Century 21 Golden Gala raised over $80,000 to help support Ingamo Homes, South Gate Centre, Easter Seals and the MS Society.
WOODSTOCK - Over 500 people packed the Oxford Auditorium on Saturday night for the Century 21 Golden Gala.
This years event brought in over $80,000 to help support four organizations, Ingamo Homes, South Gate Centre, Easter Seals and the MS Society. The money raised at the event will be split evenly between the four charities.
Co-Chair David Hilderley says everyone had a great time.
"It was an amazing night as usual and I will have to say and I have heard from many people that this was the best one ever. We had an amazing crowd of 540 guests this year. We had an amazing band who just kept everybody up on the dance floor and I had people telling me that was the best group we have ever had there. Chef Anthony from La Cantina catering did a fantastic job with dinner, if you like short ribs, they were the best I have ever had and I heard that from a few people as well. We had a great silent auction table and people were very good about bidding on objects and items and packages, all to help with the money that we are going to give to the charities that were involved."
Hilderley also wanted to thank all of the amazing volunteers who make this event possible every year. Hilderley says they wanted to add a new charity this year.
"We did add one more this year, we have been trying to support as many as we can in the community. We have been trying to support in the community and we wanted to add another great organization here in Woodstock Ingamo Homes. So we added them to Easter Seals, South Gate Centre and the MS Society."
Hilderley says they set out a goal to raise $20,000 for each of those charities and they were thrilled to reach that goal.
