OPP say a Good Samaritan noticed two children crying while their mother went to a nearby house yesterday afternoon. As a precaution, both children were taken to a local hospital and the Children's Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk have been contacted.
SIMCOE - Norfolk County OPP responded to an incident after two children had been locked in a car on Head Street North in Simcoe.
The children were left in the car yesterday afternoon while their mother went to a nearby house.
A Good Samaritan walked by and noticed both of them crying and police and paramedics were called immediately.
The vehicle had been left running but when the driver walked away from car with their key fob, it automatically shut off.
Both children were taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures. The Children's Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk have been contacted.
